Testing should be closer.

High-quality physiological assessment is often associated with universities, elite sport or specialist clinical environments. HealthSpan Lab brings that measurement-led approach into a mobile service that can meet people where they live, train, work and participate in their communities.

Clinical and performance experience.

Ben Alger MSc has experience spanning clinical exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, clinical populations and professional football. He previously worked as Head of Sport Science in professional football, where physiological and performance data were used to inform training, load management, recovery and player preparation.

His clinical exercise physiology background adds experience in physiological assessment, exercise prescription and communicating objective health information to different populations. HealthSpan Lab brings those areas together: objective physiological measurement with practical interpretation.

Qualified, measured, practical.

The service is grounded in an MSc Clinical Exercise Physiology with Distinction, BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Science, Level 3 Personal Training and Level 3 Exercise Referral qualifications.

From data to decisions.

HSL is built around turning physiological numbers into information people can understand and act upon, whether the goal is health, training, performance, workplace wellbeing or community access.
